Associate Attorney

Our team at Ruiz & Smart LLP, a plaintiff boutique law firm, is looking to add a litigation associate with two to five years of experience in our Seattle, Washington office. Ruiz & Smart is best known as a prominent insurance bad faith firm, but it also proudly litigates injury, discrimination, med-mal, and other types of cases.

Our ideal candidate will have focused experience in litigation—preferably in litigating insurance recovery and bad faith, personal injury, med-mal, and/or employment discrimination—in state and federal courts. This position also requires excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills. 

Applicants must have developed pre-trial skills including assisting with case strategy, motion practice, and discovery, and a desire to assist with and develop trial skills with a goal to thrive in the courtroom.

Qualifications include: 2–5 years’ experience in litigation; a demonstrated history of excellent advocacy, both written and oral; and a demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a collaborative work environment.
